All Labor is Valuable

All craft is political

We are a coalition of makers, craftspeople, and tradespeople who maintain a strong commitment to the fight for safety and liberation. For centuries, the trades were involved in the pursuit of equity: From the American rebellions of enslaved laborers to the struggles of union activists fighting for wages and safer working conditions. We strive to continue this legacy.

We condemn the genocide and mass displacement of Palestinians unfolding in Gaza and the occupied territories by the Israeli regime, funded and supported by the United States.

While freedom and justice for Palestine is our starting point, we know our struggles are interconnected. We staunchly oppose all forms of racial, religious, ethnic, sexual, gender, ableist, and class-based violence and aim to address oppression of all forms globally. No one is free until we are all free.

We see where our actions and decisions impact the world at large.   We use this website to share information and resources to boycott and divest from companies that participate in imperialism.  Visit the BDS page to see the companies we choose not to work with because of their involvement in human rights atrocities.

We want our personal practice to be removed from weapons development and war profiteering. We are coalition of people representative of the world we strive for: non-competitive, anti-imperialist and majority non-white.

We embrace a variety of tactics to pursue justice and raise awareness of human rights atrocities.  Our ultimate goal is to dismantle the forces of white supremacy, colonization, imperialism, and heteronormativity to build a future of safety, freedom, and justice for all people. We want craft and trade organizations and institutions to support each other, not genocide.  We need each other now more than ever.

We encourage all tradespeople, craftspeople, DIYers, and makers to join us by shaping their practices to reflect these shared beliefs.
