This chair reflects a rich blend of cultures, symbolizing our shared humanity. We grieve for Appalachia and Gaza; our struggles are intertwined. Artists at Penland, frustrated by the silence of art institutions, created this Poynor chair, combining Appalachian craft with a carved Palestinian flag to celebrate resilience.
