BDS List

HOme Depot

The retail giant proudly showcases Israeli products such as Keter Plastics, a company that holds significant investments in the illegal West Bank settlements. By maintaining ties with Keter Plastics, Home Depot lends indirect support to these illegal and inhumane practices.

Additionally Home Depot co-founder Bernard Marcus gives to AIPAC. Marcus, worth $8.2 billion, is a prolific right-wing donor, Trump ally, and union buster.

Amana

Amana blades and cutting technology are made in a factory in Israel, distributed through New York. Their bits are sold at retailers such as Rockler, Woodcraft, and many other shops. We would like to see all retailers end their relationship with goods manufactured by companies complicit in illegal settler expansion.

Dimar

DIMAR is a global cutting tools group with production centers in Israel. Dimar's factory is based in present-day Shlomi, built over the village of Al Bassa, the site of a brutal massacre and mass expulsion in 1948, as well as massacres during the British Mandate. Al Bassa is in Acre, located at the border of Lebanon.

Dimar sources to Whiteside, Amana, and Woodcraft.

WHiteside

Whiteside recently partnered with Dimar, sourcing blades from Occupied Palestine. We would like to see all retailers end their relationship with goods manufactured by companies complicit in illegal settler expansion.

Caterpillar

In addition to burying Palestinians alive at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, Caterpillar military bulldozers were used in all of the 14 punitive demolitions carried out by the Israeli occupation, demolishing 11 homes and 3 water systems, 61 incursions into the Gaza Strip in 2019 alone.

Find more information at the BDS movement page on Caterpillar updates.

Woodcraft/Woodriver

WoodRiver, Woodcrafts house brand, includes sawblades made by Dimar, which operates in Occupied Palestine. We would like to see all retailers end their relationship with goods manufactured by companies complicit in illegal settler expansion.

Alternatives?

Our efforts exist to support the BDS movement internationally. It is your decision how to navigate consumption. We recommend avoiding battery technology produced with Congo minerals and blades created in Occupied Palestine. Buying used tools and equipment proves to be the most sustainable and least harmful way to disengage from harmful and exploitative manufacturing processes.
